Today, I had to talk to students! Now you would think working in a university, meant that I saw students all the time, but that’s not true. You see I work in a staff only building, and have very little need to venture to other sites. We have a whole extra department to deal with students and staff are filtered through the help desk so it’s very rare that we are allowed to talk to outsiders.

Anyway, I had a small and hopefully simple meeting with some art students who want a web kiosk, for their art show. An external company are providing the kiosk, so we just have to supply a network connection. Simple enough it should be.

Then I came back and wrote some simple code then I hacked it, basically I want to prove to Shaun that even simple code has potential to be dangerous, I think my push to secure development is going to be a long hard slog.
